Brew Time

3:30-4:30

Water

320ml at 200°F/93°C

What you'll need

  • V60 Dripper & Filter Paper
  • Some Good Coffee
  • Grinder (or pre-ground coffee)
  • Electric Scales & Timer
  • Kettle
  • Something to brew into
Step 1

Prepare

  1. Turn your kettle on — if possible, heat to 200°F/93°C. If not, boil and let it rest for about 30 seconds.
  2. Place a paper filter in your V60 and rinse thoroughly with hot water. This removes any papery taste and preheats your server. Discard the rinse water.
  3. Add 20g of coffee (medium grind, similar to table salt) and gently shake to level the bed.
  4. Set your V60 and server on your scales and tare them.
Step 2

Pour

  1. Bloom: Start your timer and pour 50g of water, ensuring all grounds are saturated. Let it bloom for 45 seconds to release trapped gases.
  2. Pour One: Slowly pour in a circular motion until you reach 160g total. Give it a gentle swirl.
  3. Pour Two: When about 1cm of liquid remains, continue pouring until you reach 320g total. Swirl again to even out the coffee bed.
Step 3

Enjoy!

Let the water fully drain through, remove the V60, and swirl your coffee before serving. Enjoy your clean, balanced cup!
