What you'll need
- Filter/Drip Machine
- Some Good Coffee
- Grinder (or pre-ground coffee)
- Electric Scales & Timer
Step 1
Prepare
- Weigh out 1000ml of cold, preferably filtered water and pour into machines reservoir.
- Place a paper filter in the basket and rinse thoroughly with hot water to remove any papery taste (optional). Discard rinse water.
- Add 60g of coffee (medium grind, similar to table salt) to the filter basket.
Step 2
Brew
- Start brewing. On some machines this happens automatically when you switch it on - on others you’ll need to press the start button.
- Allow the machine to complete the brew cycle.
Step 3
Enjoy!
Once the cycle is complete, pour your coffee into a mug and enjoy. If you allow the coffee to cool for a minute or two it will help enhance the flavour.
Step 4
Adjust
If you find your brew is too strong or too weak you can adjust the grind size and/or dose of coffee.
